G'day Daza. Thanks to your message I have re joined your forum of lifes discoveries.
Pleased to find you are going well and that the old ute is plugging along also. My last forum posts were when you were building her up in Melbourne ready for you travels to everywhere.
My wife (Chris) and I travelled to WA last winter, spent 2 months bush camped around the old gold (ghost) towns and determined to come back again this winter and try for a bit of yellow colour.
Years ago in Qld. an old mate showed me how he dry panned for fines, reckon I will see if I can remember the technique as a starting point without any preconceived notions on what ground is better than another.
Before that though, the mysteries(?) of Tengraph need to be unravelled to make sure we are legally located. The miners right has already been taken care of. Regards, Michael

G'day Daza. Well its another year since my last post here and I do hope you are going well. Would have been good to make your aquaintance, but time sort of got in the way. I reckon I did see your ute in Kal., parked on that bit of dirt behind/side of Woolies where vans etc. park (like we did) Had a tall antenna on the front with a bit of a kink in the top couple of feet? We, as complete newbies joined a group (met Topcat there)above Leonora then went off on 20a's I took out SE of Laverton. Just on an ounce for our efforts, quite happy with that. We are heading over agin this year, will persevere more on the Laverton ground if only to prove its barren! Sadly no "old timers" met in the scrub to yarn with, only cranky bloody "realestators" Mike

G'day, emaze. Yep, that was me outside Woolies. The kink in the antenna has been fixed now . . . for the fourth time.
yep, there's not too many living out in the bush full time now. Those that are either gain support from sharing their camps or are grumpy enough to scare away casual visitors. I'm a bit of both. I get a little 'tender when 'sticky-beaks' drive right into my camp before announcing themselves. They are righteously (sic) offended when I point out the error in their ways; I don't need these sort of visitors and they know it.
Otherwise, all seems good with the exception of local doctors. Too many mistakes are occurring with practitioners who have English, as a second language. I've had four doctors from the same practice in two-years. Last year the whole lot were sacked or moved except one Burmese left to hold the fort . . . so to speak. Things are going to the dogs which I have expected so, I'm not too bothered, but cautious about the opinions they offer and I'm quite willing to act on my own behalf if I get a sniff of carelessness. Getting old comes as a surprise to me. I am not alone in this I have discovered.
A lot has happened over the last few years. More than I care to reveal here, but in general; I'm OK and doing fine. I have some health issues, but remain standing and desperate to remain so. Exercise may help. A few years ago a mate and I used to go for long walks in the bush. We haven't done that for a couple of years now. It did help us with our fitness and I'm eager to do these walks agin. I noticed the difference after the second trip. My then doctor said it was OK as long as I did it in company. My current doctor is around my age and may just join us on these strolls. We discover a lot of old rubbish dumps and even more contempory detris which are hidden from the drivers seat of a ute.
Life remains interesting emaze. I hope it is the same for you and yours.
PS: Sorry to all the readers for my slackness in web matters. I didn't think anyone cared any more.
regards daza

G'day Daza,
Hope you had a cheerful festive season or being like me a nice quite one with not too much fussing around. Hope to be over your way come April (weather permitting) before heading north to Leonora as I didn't get a chance to pop in last year. If so will give you a tingle if you haven't changed your number you gave me awhile back. Anyhow hope your health stays good & everything treats you right.
Cheers
Ted
