Thanks for posting those photos - thats a very interesting area.
The rocks are so weathered - here they are commonly much fresher in appearance here.
Woofter material - maybe a weathered greenstone?
With all the quartz strewn around (and some of it clearly gold bearing) looks like a good place to detect.
